What is CBD and is it Legal for me?

We get so many questions on the topic of CBD and the legality of it. We would like our customers to be well informed on the subject so we are answering your questions.

What is CBD? Cannabidiol is a phytocannabinoid and is one of some 113 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. As of 2018, preliminary clinical research on cannabidiol included studies of anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, and pain though that may be only a portion of the things it could help.

Is CBD Legal? As of the 2018 Farm bill that was passed by congress and signed by the president on 12/20/2018, Hemp products are no longer an illegal substance. If you would like to read the farm below you may click on the link below. Also, if you are concerned, you may check with your local and state laws prior to purchasing.

Are HEMP Products the same as CBD Products? It Depends. IN the helpful links below we added a blog that goes over both in detail but the main point is to KNOW WHAT YOUR BUYING. Many products out there claim the same usefulness but may have little to NO CBD in there product. Make sure to always check the ingredients and CBD Dosage before buying. We claim only what our Lab Results say.

How long does it take to work? This can take anywhere from 20 minutes to a few hours. The best thing would be to start the dose low and continue to increase until you see desired effects.

I get this all the time….NO! Legal graded CBD that you buy now in the USA has to have standards before they sell it. It can only contain less than .3% THC (the part the actually gets you high) to actually be legal so there are no worries on getting your pets high. Just consult the 2018 Farm Bill link on the bottom of our info page to check out the proof.

There is no yes/no answer to this. All dogs are different just like humans. As a result, CBD will affect one dog differently than it would another. Typical signs can usually occur anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. Other times it takes a build up of doses (giving your pet a few days worth to have it built up in their system).
